Meet Ansérina & Vivien

Dear Surrogate,
First of all, we would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the marvelous gift you are ready to offer to couples like us who can’t conceive on their own. We are so admirative and grateful for this extraordinary act of generosity – offering to people the greatest gift of their lives – a child.

Here is a little note about us.

Who we are:
Anserina was born in Paris shortly after her dad and her mum quit Cambodia after the arrival of the Khmer Rouge. Vivien was born in a small village in Burgundy in France where his ancestors have been living for generations. We were not destined to meet each other and yet we have been happily married since 2019! We met each other in Luxembourg which is a peaceful and welcoming land for foreigners wishing to find a job and a place to start a family. A mutual colleague and friend organized the after-work party where we first met and we spent the entire evening chatting oblivious to the other people. It was six years ago.

What we value:
Family is very important for both of us. We both come from very close-knit families. We make a point to visit them on a regular basis. We both have very fond memories of our childhood and we believe that our appreciation for our families and for a strong support unit comes from celebrating and spending such joyful and happy moments together.

Anserina has 3 younger sisters and Vivien has one younger sister, and together we have 13 uncles and aunts living in Montreal, Paris, Metz (France) and in Burgundy and we also have 24 cousins! We would nurture these special family ties when raising our child.

We also have many friends in Luxembourg. We love to cook homemade dishes for our friends and have endless discussions with them! We believe that the people we spend our time with will have the biggest influence on our and our children’s lives so we prioritize making those relationships as healthy as they can be by working on them continuously.

Like many French people, we have great appreciation for gastronomy and are major foodies, so if you like food, we’ll get along amazingly! We like being outside, travelling, discovering different cultures. We love music a lot, Anserina and her sisters forming a real quartet and Vivien listening. Vivien’s sister is also a passionate musician and plays the harp forming a happy duo with Anserina on the violin.

We also enjoy watching movies and series: we are great fans of Westwing and Succession as well as Miyazaki’s movies. We even visited the Studio Ghibli Museum during our honeymoon in Japan.

It might be too generic to say that we are passionate about life, but we both believe that investing passion into yourself, your self-improvement, people around you, your family, and future development is what life is all about.

Why we are pursuing surrogacy:
From the beginning, we wanted to have a baby. More exactly it was our biggest dream: we loved discussing the surnames of our future babies during hours :-). Unfortunately, we learnt that Anserina would not be able to give birth due to her medical treatment. That was terrible news for us. Needless to say that when we learnt from a friend that our dream may still come true thanks to surrogacy, it was a source of great hope. Therefore, we will never forget the happiness you will bring to us if you eventually accept to be our surrogate. You will be our happiness provider and we wish of course to share such happiness with you.

How we will be as intended parents:
We are easy-going, but also organized, attentive and thoughtful. Although we have never experienced this before, we can imagine that navigating the journey’s ebbs and flows of surrogacy requires compassion, friendship, understanding and support from all parties involved, and you won’t expect anything less than that from us. Having a sense of humor always helps. We value trust and communication, but we also don’t micromanage. We want to create a comfortable environment for the surrogate, so she feels appreciated, happy, and loved. We are also very respectful of boundaries and understand the importance of timely reimbursements. Things that are important to know about us are that we are very honest, genuine people and we are also just your average couple struggling to have a child that would be so loved and cared for.

Lastly…
With all our hearts, we thank you for your generosity. You will be giving us the greatest gift, and there are no words to express how much that means to us. Be assured that you will be helping a family that will provide their children with unconditional love, support and respect, with their happiness as only objective. In the end, we hope that such a process will also bring you a sense of satisfaction in knowing that this gift of life will have made our lives infinitely more meaningful.
